The story behind Camp Tumble Smart

Camp Tumble Smart was created by the nation's leading mental performance tumbling coach, Coach Levi Nickson. Coach Levi and his wife Christina, own and operate a tumbling gym in Tulsa, OK called Tumble Smart Athletics. They take a holistic approach to weekly classes by building up the tumblers mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. They are excited to bring that same experience to Camp Tumble Smart!

What sets Camp Tumble Smart apart from other summer tumbling camps?

 The sheer amount of time in the gym tumbling, with up to 16 hours of tumbling training, apart from other activities! Coach Levi is very passionate about involving and educating parents on how to help their tumbler be the best they can be, so there will be a portion of the camp dedicated to educating and communicating with parents. Unfortunately, parents are often times pushed out of the gym into the viewing area and not spoken to... That will not be the experience at Camp Tumble Smart. Parents are welcomed to hangout, watch and have opportunities to be involved as well.

 Also, be on the lookout for some super awesome guest coaches to be announced as we get closer to camp dates!

*This camp is not specific to athletes who are experiencing blocks or extreme fear/anxiety around tumbling (which is the type of athletes Coach Levi is known for working with) this camp is for everyone!

Is lodging included in this camp?

No. Overnights and lodging are not included in this camp which gives us the opportunity to meet and work alongside parents since at least one parent (or adult) is required to travel with child. However, you do not have to stay the entire time of camp, you can drop off and pick up!

We do have a hotel we partner with that offers a special rate to anyone who books with them for our camps. The hotel has nice indoor/outdoor pool, next many restaurants and things to do and is 2 miles away from gym. Link to hotel site will be available upon registration.

When? (all dates are for the year 2024)

Session 1: June 6-9

Session 2: June 20-23

Session 3: June 27-30

Session 4: July 11-14

Session 5: July 18-21

Session 6: August 1-4

We offer a flexible structure for whatever works with your family’s schedule and traveling budget/time able to travel. We do this since it’s a commitment for at least one parent (adult) to travel with the athlete. There are 2 mandatory full days of training and activities and 2 optional days of gym time. 

Schedule is explained below:

• Thursday - Optional in part or in full

1pm-4pm gym time, meet coaches and other campers.

• Friday - Mandatory

9am-10:30am parent/athlete education w/ coffee & pastries (Parents are not required but strongly encouraged to attend this portion)

10:30am-1:00pm tumbling 

1:00pm-2:00pm eat/rest/activity (Lunch will not be provided. You can either send lunch, drop off lunch or pick up athlete for lunch and return in an hour)

2:00pm-4:00pm tumbling 

4:00pm-5:00pm activity 

5:00pm-6:00pm tumbling 

• Saturday- Mandatory

9:00am-10:30am parent/athlete education w/ coffee & pastries (Parents are not required but strongly encouraged to attend this portion)

10:30am-1:00pm tumbling 

1:00pm-2:00pm eat/rest/activity (Lunch will not be provided. You can either send lunch, drop off lunch or pick up athlete for lunch and return in an hour)

2:00pm-4:00pm tumbling 

4:00pm-5:00pm activity

5:00pm-6:00pm tumbling 

• Sunday - optional in part or in full

12pm-2pm Gym time

Activities during camp include:

Tye dye your own camp T-Shirt

Hair braiding

Games

Competitions

Bracelet making

And of course... LOTS OF TUMBLING!

Cost: 

 You are seeing early bird pricing below. The camp total will increase an additional $100 after March 31st. Registration for all camps end 30 days before first day of camp or when camp is full, whichever comes first. Don’t miss out!
